The First District Dental Society was the first district established in the State of Indiana and has always been looked upon as one of the leading districts in the state. Dr. N. R. Henderson became the first elected President of the First District in 1927. Since that time many great leaders have paved the way to make our dental society what it is today. The First District continues to be the leader in the state for the highest percentage of dentists to join organized dentistry. The First District, also, leads the state in the amount of continuing education opportunities that it offers its members.
